Constance J. Walker is a thought-leader and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in Community Economic Development. She is the founder of Walker and Associates Consulting and is committed to helping her clients foster sustainable investments that will improve the economic, social and environmental conditions of low-income communities around the world. Her unique career path includes experience at all levels of the nonprofit infrastructure, most notably as Executive Director of the Greater Richmond Community Development Corporation, Program Officer of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and Program Officer and Director of the Program Related Investment Fund for the James Irvine Foundation. After 15-plus years as a consultant, Constance is excited to expand her business with the goal of boosting more leaders and organizations.

Constance has a BS in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and is an alumnus of the Development Training Institute’s National Internship in Community Economic Development. She is also a former Co-Chair of the Neighborhood Funders Group, an affinity group of the Council on Foundations, and a founding member of Bay Area Blacks in Philanthropy.

Jeannine N. Walker is a strategy, management, marketing and communications specialist passionately working toward racial, gender and social equity. For more than 10 years, Jeannine has creatively leveraged her knowledge and skills to support the goals of Walker and Associates Consulting's clients. Jeannine has helped numerous organizations acquire and develop talented, diverse leaders; build actionable strategic plans; create and maintain visual identity and integrated communications; and execute meetings and events from board retreats to conferences.   


Prior to joining Walker and Associates Consulting, Jeannine gained private sector marketing brand management experience spanning health care and consumer packaged Goods with industry titans Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble.


Jeannine has an MBA from The Marshall School of the University of Southern California and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an alumnus of the LEAD Program in Business and the INROADS Program and is a Consortium for Graduate Studies in Management Fellow.

Walker, President and CEO, in 2010. Since its inception, the firm has served hundreds of nonprofits, intermediaries, foundations and small businesses across the nation helping them to recruit, convene, and train exceptional leaders; fine tune and expand programs and policies; and improve community outcomes. Walker and Associates Consulting has an outstanding and diverse team with a depth and breadth of valuable experience in nonprofit management, executive leadership, organizational development and marketing and communications strategy. Frank J. Omowale Satterwhite, Ph.D., is an acclaimed community-building specialist with more than 25 years of experience providing technical support and building capacity for social change in communities of color and other underserved communities. He founded the National Community Development Institute in Oakland, California and is now President of Leadership Incorporated. He has provided technical assistance to more than 1,200 organizations in 43 states during his career. Omowale’s previous experience includes serving as President of the Institute for the Study of Community Economic Development and President of the Community Development Institute, which he founded in 1979.

Omowale has a Ph.D. from Stanford University, an MA from Southern Illinois University and a BA from Howard University. He has also received numerous awards for his professional and public service, including a Kellogg Foundation National Fellowship and community service awards from the National Council of Negro Women, Peninsula Community Foundation and KQED Television.

Jim Bracken is a social marketing strategist and media producer with 18 years of experience strengthening philanthropic outreach, evaluation, training and development. As Principal of NonProfit Communications, he helps nonprofits, foundations and public agencies to more effectively communicate by leveraging emerging digital media tools (video, photography, websites and narrative). Jim collaborates with Walker and Associates Consulting to produce video reports, program documentation and virtual site visits that facilitate strategic communication for complex community initiatives. He has partnered to produce media tools for the James Irvine Foundation, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, United Way of the Bay Area and many California-based nonprofits.


Jim has an MA in Journalism/Public Relations from Ohio State University and a BS in Marketing/Communications from West Virginia University. He is also an Alumni Facilitator for Leadership San Francisco and an Advisory Board Member for Honoring Emancipated Youth (United Way of the Bay Area).
